High-precision level measurement of molten aluminum or steel – with radar.

The level measurement of molten metal requires reliable, high-performance sensors. With the OndoSense radar sensors, the fill level of liquid steel or aluminum can be measured contact-free with sub-millimeter accuracy, even at metal temperatures of up to 1600 degrees Celsius. Dust, steam, smoke, vibrations and strong heat radiation have no influence on the high precision and reliability of the radar-based molten metal level monitoring. Active cooling of the level radar is usually not necessary. In addition, the precise and quick level control of ferrous and non-ferrous metals is also possible from a distance of up to 15 meters with our innovative radar sensors.

Benefit from the advantages of our radar technology for the level measurement of molten steel, aluminum and various other ferrous and non-ferrous metals!

Your added value with radar

Productive.

Fast integration of level monitoring.

  • Production gain through uncomplicated integration: Our innovative, robust radar technology makes molten metal level measurement easy and reliable.
  • Cost savings through optimized raw material consumption using accurate metal level monitoring.

Profitable.

Minimal maintenance with radar.

  • High durability and low probability of failure: Radar has no moving parts and works contactless.
  • Very little cleaning required: our level radar sensor measures even when the lens is dirty or behind a protective ceramic window.

Reliable.

Robust, reliable level measurement.

  • Highest measurement reliability: The radar sensor measures the molten metal level very accurately, even with dust, ash, water vapor or heat.
  • The high measurement rate of the OndoSense radar sensors enables quick, reliable process adjustments.
