Freiburg (Germany), 11 January 2021 – German tech startup OndoSense has launched an ultra-precise radar sensor for distance measurement, which reliably measures even in the most difficult industrial environments with dirt, smoke, oil mist or adverse light at all times. With a measurement accuracy of up to one micrometer and a measuring frequency of 300 Hertz, the OndoSense apex is not only the most precise and fastest distance radar on the market: With 0.1 to 50 meters, it also offers the widest measuring range as well as the lowest blind range of comparable distance radars. Thanks to IO-Link, RS485, an analog current interface (4–20 mA) and three digital switching outputs (PNP/NPN), customers benefit from high-performance industrial interfaces for data transmission to the machine control (PLC).

Freiburg (D), April 2020 – The German tech startup OndoSense has developed an IoT sensor that enables an ultra-precise detection of metallic structures for the first time within plastics or other electrically non-conductive materials: The sensor, based on innovative radar technology, measures the distances to metallic objects that are embedded in plastics, cardboard, rubber etc. with micrometer accuracy. Objects that are behind these electrically non-conductive materials are also detected. OndoSense was founded in 2018 by Mathias Klenner and Axel Hülsmann, two radar and high frequency solutions experts from the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics in Freiburg, Germany.

With the startup's sensor solutions, the automation of production processes is possible with a precision in the micrometer range. With robust radar technology, OndoSense sensors are reliable even in harsh environments such as noise, dirt, smoke or steam.

OndoSense invited to pitch at Heidelberger Innovation Forum

We have been invited to the pitch competition of the Heidelberg Innovation Forum on the topics Internet of Things, Mobility and Energy! On 9 July, OndoSense will proudly present its innovative business model in radar sensor technology to company representatives and investors at the InnovationLab in Heidelberg together with various European start-ups. Under the motto "Advanced Mobility in a Smart Environment"  expert will speak on the future Smart City. The pitch jury comprises the following companies: EnBW (New Venture Capital), MBG, MVV, InnoEnergy, HTGF, Vector Informatik GmbH and Wieland Ventures. The best pitches will be announced in the evening at the award ceremony. May the best pitch win!
